Mike Evans: Non-Executive Director

Mike Evans, 56, has lived in Gloucestershire all of his life and has a wealth of experience in both the public and private sectors. He worked for more than five years as a Non-Executive Director with 2gether Foundation NHS Trust (formerly Gloucestershire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust), is a qualified accountant and holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA).
Mr Evans began his career in local government and moved on to become a Finance Director in the Eagle Star Group and then the British American Financial Services Group. In recent years he has worked as a Management Consultant undertaking a wide range of assignments in both the private and public sectors.

Gordon Mitchell: Non-Executive Director, Vice Chair and Senior Independent Director

Gordon Mitchell currently works with organisations and leadership teams to support them in facing their challenges or development. He has previously held roles as Chief Executive of two large local authorities, spent some time in central government and, prior to that, senior roles in a number of national voluntary organisations dealing with policy development and campaigning. He also holds a number of non-executive roles in education, arts and social justice.

Maria Bond: Non-Executive Director

Maria Bond is from Stroud and has lived in Gloucestershire all her life.  She is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and has gained a wealth of experience working in Construction Plc organisations.  Maria began her career in a local construction company and moved on to become a Project Director for Bluestone Plc and moved to Rok Plc as Commercial and Area Director. 

In recent years Maria has concentrated on Project Managing the acquisition and integration of acquired companies by Rok Plc and latterly restructuring programmes.

Clive Lewis OBE: Non-Executive Director

Clive Lewis is a former HR director and a leading facilitator and dispute resolution specialist. He has extensive experience of working across the Public and Private sectors. He is the author of 4 books, including the widely acclaimed ‘Difficult Conversations: 10 Steps to Becoming a Tackler not a Dodger and Bouncing Back from Redundancy: 12 Steps to Get Your Career and Life Back on Track.

He is an advisor to the government on employee relations and workplace mediation issues. He also serves as Honorary Secretary of the Civil Mediation Council, is a Trustee of the National Youth Jazz Orchestra and Chair of the Open College Network South West.

 He was awarded an OBE for Public Service in the Queens Birthday Honours List of 2011.

Helen Munro: Non-Executive Director

Helen Munro began her working life in East Central Nigeria working in a Leper colony with the ‘Medical Missioisinares’, setting up health care centres for mothers and children. Subsequently, she has worked in Glasgow with adolescent children with behavioural problems, held senior management positions in the education sector and worked with a range of manufacturing businesses in the UK, France and USA. She joined the Courtaulds Group and travelled extensively within the USA and UK working on a range of change management projects.

Helen spent 11 years in the NHS as a board director in Birmingham and the Oxford Radcliffe NHS Trust.  Additionally, she has worked on a number of Department of Health think tanks and policy development groups including NHS Recruitment and implementing Independent Sector Treatment Centres.  She joined the British Intelligence sector in 2007 to work on the delivery of a large programme which modernised its Human Resource and Organisational Development functions and which won awards for its creativity and innovation.

Tony Foster: Non-Executive Director

Tony Foster was formerly a Director of ICI Chemicals & Polymers Ltd and Chief Executive of ICI Chlorchemicals Business. He became a full-time member of the Criminal Cases Review Commission from 1997 to 2006 and was a member of the Council of the Competition Commission from 2003 to 2009.

He is now a non-executive director of the Animal Health and Veterinary Laboratories Agency and of the Legal Ombudsman, and a member of the Financial Protection Committee of the Solicitors Regulation Authority. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Victim Support and acts as a Victim Support community volunteer throughout Gloucestershire.
