Our Strategic Objectives, Mission, Vision and Values
Our goals, or Strategic Objectives, for the future are part of a framework made up of our Vision, Mission and our Values.
Each of the objectives is equally important to our core business: Improve health by putting patients at the centre of excellent specialist care.
If we achieve our objectives, we will move closer towards our vision of the future: Safe, effective and personalised care - every patient, every time, all the time.
The divisional structure of the Trust, with an emphasis on clinical leadership plus the Values which underpin everything we do, are vital if we are to provide a high quality of care and good experience for our patients.
Our Mission
Improve health by putting patients at the centre of excellent specialist care
Our Vision
Safe, effective and personalised care - every patient, every time, all the time
Our Strategic Objectives
To achieve the best for our patients, their families, our staff and our communities, we need cohesive and focused priorities for the coming years. It is important that we all pull together, with the focus on patients and these goals will ensure that this happens.
The objectives are split into four core areas: Our Patients; Our Staff; Our Services and Our Business - each are equally important. To find out more about our plans view our Trust's Framework for 2013 - 14.
Our Values
Our Values underpin everything we do and describe, in single words, the way we expect our staff to behave towards our patients and their families and carers, also the standard of behaviour we expect between members of staff. After listening to patients and staff the Trust has identified six core values, described here in the words of patients. These are:
Listening
Patients said: "Please acknowledge me, even if you can't help me right now. Show me that you know that I'm here."
Helping
Patients said: "Please ask me if everything is alright and if it isn't, be willing to help me."
Excelling
Patients said: "Don't just do what you have to, take the next step and go the extra mile."
Improving
Patients said: "I expect you to know what you're doing and be good at it."
Uniting
Patients saiud: "Be proud of each other and the care you all provide."
Caring
Patients said: "Show me that you care about me as an individual. Talk to me, not about me. Look at me when you talk to me."
