Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust publishes and responds to requests for information in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000. To assist you in looking for information the Trust has produced a Guide to Information in accordance with requirements issued by the Information Commissioner’s Office.
If the information you require is not accessible on our website or that of another organisation, please complete the online request form or if you do not have access to the internet, contact the Trust Freedom of Information Lead for a form.
Information can only be processed if you provide, in writing, your name and address. Once the details have been processed, the lead person within a service or department who has a responsibility for responding to your request under the Freedom of Information Act may invite you to view the information or will send you a copy*. Again some information may be exempt from disclosure.
* We aim to provide you with the information you need within twenty working days. If this is not possible, we will tell you why. Although most of the information can usually be provided free of charge, in some instances there may be a charge. Payment must be received before the information can be retrieved. Where information is to be provided at a cost the charges will be calculated as set out in the Charges and Fees.

Rights of Access to Information
In addition to accessing the information identified on the Trust’s website, you are entitled to request information about Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. The Freedom of Information Act recognises that, as a member of the public, you have the right to know how public services such as the NHS are organised and run, how much they cost and how you can make complaints if you need to. You have the right to know which services are being provided, the targets being set, the standards of services expected and the results achieved.
Sometimes information may have to be exempted from disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 or the Data Protection Act 1998. This means that sometimes not all the information can be made available for publication or the material may be edited.
