Neurological Services at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital
10/03/10
Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust remains totally committed to providing high quality care for our patients and meeting their individual needs.
From 1 April 2010 a range of services currently provided at Ermin Neurological Centre, such as Day Case Infusions and End of life care, will be provided in a more appropriate setting on another site at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.
Following the review led by NHS Gloucestershire, respite services are being purchased from a range of providers across the county, including in Gloucester, to provide patients with more choice and care closer to home.
Alternative uses for the Ermin Neurological Centre building are currently being explored with other NHS partners.
Dr Sally Pearson, Director of Clinical Strategy, said:
“We are committed to providing high quality care for patients in the best possible environment and this remains our top priority. We appreciate the hard work of our staff based at Ermin Neurological Centre and we will continue to support them during this period of change.”
