Special Guest at Nursery Opening

Iggle Piggle joined staff, our Chair, MP Martin Horwood and some very happy children at the official reopening of Little Apples Nursery, Cheltenham.

Little Apples is one of two day nurseries for children aged between three months and up to five years.

The nursery moved from the Delancey Hospital site to Cunningham House at the end of March which meant that the nursery was able to extend the range of OFSTED registered places from 65 to 75 places.

Little ApplesThe new building was previously used as a base for Trust staff and visitor accommodation. Prior to this, Cunningham House is thought to have provided accommodation for the Head-master of Cheltenham College.

The nursery has been described as a very bright, homely, stimulating environment for children and as an OFSTED registered facility, will benefit children and parents associated with the Trust.

Professor Clair Chivers officially unveiled the plaque at the event held at the beginning of the month. She said:

“The relocation of the nursery not only means that the Trust has invested in a state of the art facility which will benefit children and parents associated with the Trust, but additionally, it means that we are able to extend the range of OFSTED registered places.

“We are proud to be able to offer a nursery that is both aesthetically and educationally appropriate to 21st Century childcare and we hope that both the children and the staff who work there will appreciate the facilities that it offers ”
