Visiting Restrictions

Precautionary visiting restrictions at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital
Following recent access restrictions for visitors at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, normal visiting has been restored for most wards. The exception to this is as follows:
Ward 4A is subject to visiting restrictions.
Exceptions may be made for those visiting on compassionate grounds. In this case, visitors are requested to liaise with a member of ward staff.
Visitors to any ward at either hospital are reminded not to visit if they have had any symptoms of sickness or diarrhoea.
The Trust would like to thank patients, relatives and friends for their patience and understanding during this period.
A major campaign to stop the spread of Norovirus, protect vulnerable patients and support NHS services this Winter was launched last month. Advice on how to cope with diarrhoea and vomiting symptoms is available through our Combat Norovirus campaign pages.
