Visiting Restrictions at Cheltenham General Hospital

Website Update: December 30th 2011

Visiting restrictions are currently in place on three wards at Cheltenham General Hospital.

Families of patients on Hazleton Ward and Kemerton Ward have been contacted and asked not to visit in order to restrict the possible spread of Diarrhoea and Vomiting illness (D&V); visitors to Prescott Ward are asked to call ahead and speak to the ward before visiting.

The exception is that if you are visiting on compassionate grounds, in which case visiting is permitted.

This is part of the Trust’s approach to preventing the spread of Diarrhoea & Vomiting illness (D&V) which is widespread in the county at present.

Any visitors with D&V or flu-like symptoms are asked to please not visit our hospitals, in order to protect patients who are more vulnerable to infection.
