What you told us about our services
The Friends and Family Test is one of many different ways in which our patients have provided feedback.
A nationwide initiative, we are working to gain feedback from patients about the care and treatment they receive in our hospitals.
Patients are asked whether they would recommend NHS services to their friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment, which is believed to be an important indicator of the quality of care they have received.
We have started using the Friends and Family Test on our wards, Emergency Department and maternity services and every patient that receives treatment in those areas will now be able to give feedback about the quality of care they have received.
Our Friends and Family Test results
We have been asking our adult inpatients and Emergency Department patients this question since April 2013. We have been publishing the results of the test since the first quarter (April and June 2013) and will be using these results to further improve our patient’s experience. Read our results here
