Stagecoach Route 99
Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is working in partnership with Stagecoach Bus Network to provide a park and ride service that starts at Cheltenham Racecourse Park and Ride and runs via Cheltenham town centre to Cheltenham General Hospital. The service also incorporates a shuttle bus service from Cheltenham General Hospital to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.
The shuttle bus service will run every 30 minutes between 7am and 7pm from Cheltenham General and 7.30am to 7.30pm from Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. Dedicated stops have been established at the Pathology Department at both hospitals.
The park and ride service runs from Cheltenham Racecourse to CGH via the town centre every 15 minutes at peak times from 6.20am.
The Cheltenham town centre stop will be at Albion Street/ Winchcombe Street (outside the Vauxhall Dealers) on journeys to the hospital and in Clarence Parade (outside Vodka Revolution night club) when travelling from Cheltenham General to the racecourse.
The Trust is working to improve the parking situation at the hospital and the new shuttle bus and the construction of the multi-storey car park at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital will improve provision in the long term.
Meanwhile, the Trust is currently looking into the viability of establishing a park and ride service for Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.
