Bibury Ward
Bibury Ward is a 22 bedded male ward specialising in Urology. We are situated on Level One, in the St Pauls Wing at Cheltenham General Hospital. We are accessable via stairs and lift.
The Ward Manager for Bibury Ward is Belinda Beasley. Sr Beasley can be contacted via the Ward Reception on 0300 422 4108.
Caroline Elcock is the Modern Matron for Surgery. Sr Elcock can be contacted via her secretary on 0300 422 6642
Meal times
We promote protected mealtimes.
Breakfast from 7am
Lunch from 12noon
Supper from 5pm
Evening Drink from 8pm
Fresh water and hot drinks are available throughout the day.
Visiting times
Our visiting time are as follows:
Afternoon 3am- 4:30pm
Evening 6pm - 8pm
If you need to visit outside of these hours, please contact the ward reception.
Medicine rounds
Medicines are given out 4 times a day, unless otherwise directed by your medical team. Nurses wear red tabards to undertake the round and we would ask that they are not disturbed whilst in the process of administering medications. If you require pain relief outside of the normal 'rounds', please tell a member of the nursing team, who will advise if it is prescribed.
Mobile phones
Please be aware that mobile phones or handheld devices should not be used to take photographs without permission. We ask you to have your mobile phone on silent or vibrate to minimise distruption to other patients. Please be considerate when taking calls, keep them to a minimum and we ask that no calls are made in patient areas between the hours of 10pm - 8am.
Discharge from hospital
We aim to tell you in good time when you are expected to be discharged from hospital. We request that you make your own arrangements, wherever possible, to be collected from hospital at the time agreed with the nurse in chage of your care. If you have any concerns regarding your discharge, or do not know the expected date of your discharge, please ask.
