Dr Jackson has worked as a consultant microbiologist in Cheltenham since joining the Trust in 2001. He is based in the Microbiology Consultants offices in Parkside, CGH. He contributes to the clinical microbiology service which is provided to all hospital clinicians in GHNHSFT, GCS, and 2gether, and to all local GPs served by the Gloucester Microbiology Departmental Laboratory. Dr Jackson is also the GHNHSFT Infection Control Doctor for the CGH site and works closely with the GHNHSFT (acute) infection control team. As a consultant microbiologist he is a member of the departmental management team. Dr Jackson’s clinical microbiology duties are at CGH and GRH as determined by a local clinical duties rota along with his four consultant colleagues.
