Qualified Southampton 1995
After training in Southampton, Dr Reed worked as a junior doctor in Winchester, Portsmouth and Cheltenham (where he first decided on a career in Oncology). Further experience in medicine was gained working in Belize and New Zealand. He underwent his Oncology training on the Wessex training scheme, working in Southampton, Poole and Portsmouth. Prior to his consultant appointment, he spent 1 year as a research fellow in Radiation Oncology at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Melbourne where he furthered his interest in gastro-intestinal radiotherapy.
Dr Reed’s areas of clinical interest are upper gastro-intestinal, lung and colo-rectal cancer. He also has an interest in education and teaching.
