After completing my training in General Medicine and gaining Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) on the Leicester teaching hospitals rotation, I was appointed to the Royal Marsden Hospital, London where I did all my specialist training and gained my Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in the treatment of cancer. I was appointed to the post of Consultant Clinical Oncologist at the Gloucestershire Oncology Centre in 1997 and specialise in the non-surgical treatments (radiotherapy and chemotherapy) for patients with colorectal, head and neck or skin cancers.
