I qualified at Sheffield University in 1989.My Paediatric training began in Birmingham continuing in Bristol and the South West.I was appointed as a Consultant in Paediatrics at Cheltenham General Hospital and Gloucestershire Royal Hospital from March 2005. My interest in Paediatric Allergy began in Bristol in 2002 and I continue to develop this interest with Paedatric Allergy clinics to the County. I am currently a Clinical Tutor in Paediatrics with an interest in Medical Education.


In our directorate all consultants are General Paediatricians with a subspecialty interest and we aim to provide a comprehensive range of services for the children of Gloucestershire both in the clinic setting in the main hosptials and community hospitals.

Inpatient Services

All children requiring an overnight stay in Hospital under the care of Dr. Wheeler will be admitted to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.
