The opening hours for the Phlebotomy Departments are as follows:

Gloucestershire Royal Hospital:

Edward Jenner Clinic

Weekdays - 08:00 - 16:45

Weekends - No Service

Bank Holidays - No Service

The Edward Jenner Unit has clinics running on a Monday, Tuesday and Thursday morning. At this time the unit can be very busy with a possible waiting time of over 1 hour for a blood test.

We accept children for blood tests at the Edward Jenner Unit from 6 years and above. All other children under the age of 6 should be referred to Children's Outpatients at Gloucester Royal Hospital.

The department is closed for blood tests on the last Friday of every month between 1200 and 1300. This is for the purpose of staffdevelopment.

West Block Outpatients

Weekdays - 8.30am to 16.30pm

We accept children for blood tests at West Block Phlebotomy Department from 6 years and above. All other children under the age of 6 should be referred to Paediatric Assessment at CGH.
