Compliance Department
The Compliance Department are part of the Estates and Facilities Division and have offices at both Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and Cheltenham General Hospital.
The Compliance Team are responsible for the health, safety and welfare of estates personnel, contractors, visitors and members of the public on our sites. We cover a multitude of activities, procedures and risk assessments as well as providing information, instruction and training. The objective is for us to comply with legislation and create a safe place of work.
Estates
The Compliance Team look after a large work force of various skilled trades who are responsible for maintenance, repair, refurbishment and new build of all trust premises requiring us to comply with numerous pieces of legislation. This is acheived by the Compliance Department ensuring that we meet our legal duties in these areas.
Contractors
Many contractors visit our site for various reasons. We have to maintain their health and safety as well as our own staff. All contractors used by Estates are vetted before the attend site to ensure that they can provide not only the best service we require but that they also meet our Health and Safety standards. Once on site they then have to attend site inductions, go through spot checks and work to our Permits to Work systems where required.
