Book loans

Find books using the online catalogue

Request books not held in our Libraries using the online book request form

Borrow 5 books (maximum) for up to 4 weeks using your Library card 

Renew books (maximum 2 renewals) by phone, or online

Return books to either CGH or GRH Library

Fines of 10p per book per day are charged for late returns

E-books (electronic books)

 E-books are available at any time of the day or night and don't have to be borrowed and returned - so no fines!

There is a collection of over 800 online books available via the library catalogue (NHS Athens account required)

Clinical titles include the Oxford Handbook and ABC series, medical MCQ and EMQ textbooks and titles about management and leadership.

The NHS has paid for access to over 1000 e-journals with a wide subject range

Occasionally publishers use embargos to restrict access to the most up to date issues. If a publisher embargo is in place you can request articles using this article request form

Check availability online using MyJournals on NHS Evidence

Request articles from journals not held in the Library using the online request form

Copy journal articles using the Library photocopier
Photocopy cards are on sale in the Library
You may copy a maximum of 2 articles from any one journal
