What we need to know

  •  Please provide as much information as possible, giving alternative terminology for the clinical condition where relevant
  • State any limits such as date (eg the last 5 years only), type of article (eg review article) and language (eg English only)
  • Are you looking for a positive outcome (eg prevention, prognosis) or a negative outcome (eg side effects, morbidity)?
  • Say whether you are interested in comparisons of treatment (eg placebo)

The Standards we set ourselves

  • We aim to provide results in 48hours, however, some searches may take longer. Please let us know if the information is needed urgently for patient care
  •  We search various databases such as Medline, Cinahl and Cochrane and include full-text journal articles where available, if not we will include article abstracts 
  • We provide a summary of our results Information
  • We can provide results via email or post
